Morning Detox Drink

Drink this upon rising for a fabulous detox and liver cleanse to start the day. I recommend drinking on an empty stomach and to not eat anything for at least half an hour. That way, you will gain the most benefit from the liver cleanse. I also add it to bone broth later in the day for a great arthritis tonic! You can find the turmeric paste recipe here

Ingredients

  • 1 cup filtered boiled water
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric paste see recipe
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated or sliced or powder
  • 1 tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon non-aluminium bi-carb soda

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients except lemon juice in cup. Stir to mix completely
  • Add room temperature filtered water to cool to around 20oC. Add lemon juice (you lose vitamin C if too hot)
  • Drink and enjoy!
  • Mix 1 teaspoon bi-carb soda with a little water. Swish around mouth to avoid enamel wear

Notes

Note:
If you haven't made turmeric paste. Simply substitute:
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder,
  • pinch cayenne or cracked black pepper and
  • a touch (⅛ teaspoon) coconut oil
